Review what your post will look like and choose to remove any suggested links

A new Facebook experience is available for customers using iPhones and iPads starting today. Version 10.0 of the official Facebook iOS client is out and brings some new abilities, such as post previews (i.e. see what your post will look like before you actually take it online), a faster and more reliable News Feed, and offline posting.

Don’t let the biblical version number fool you, as Facebook 10.0 is not the biggest update ever to be made available for users of the platform. Nevertheless, it’s not a small update either. It brings three key enhancements that promise to improve your social networking experience, starting with the ability to see how others will view your posts before you take them online.

“Review what your post will look like and choose whether to remove any suggested links before sharing what you’re reading, watching or listening to,” says the giant, describing the flagship new addition in Facebook 10.0 for iOS.

Another new feature that many users will appreciate (especially those with an intermittent connection to the web), you can now “Create posts even when your connection is weak or you’re in airplane mode, and they’ll be shared once your connection gets strong enough,” according to the release notes.

Lastly, the company has made some improvements to the News Feed. It reportedly loads faster now, especially on older-generation device models, such as iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, and iPod touch fourth generation.

A new “cards” feature is being tested on a small subset of iOS users, according to TechCrunch.

Facebook says, “These cards can help you discover information about where you are or what to do next, or inspire conversations with your friends around you. This feature respects all existing privacy settings, and the card will only show you information that you could already see elsewhere on Facebook. We wanted to make it easier for you to interact with your friends about the things you’re doing and the places you are visiting.”

The Facebook iOS client is localized in English, Bokmål, Norwegian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Traditional Chinese, Turkish, and Vietnamese.

To download Facebook 10.0, all you need is iOS 6.0 and an iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPad second generation, iPad third generation, iPad fourth generation, iPad Air, iPad mini, iPad mini with Retina display, iPod touch fourth generation, or iPod touch fifth generation. Facebook so far has not forced its users to upgrade to iOS 7.
