The developers made it

Fable II is really shaping up to be a great title. With little time before the launch, scheduled for October 21st for the United States and the 24th for Europe, reports about the game are pouring in. Besides all of the statements made by lead developer Peter Molyneux about how the title would appeal to casual gamers and provide a completely new gaming experience, this latest announcement from the Lionhead Studios, the company that created the game, is definitely going to make potential buyers very happy.

We reported a while ago that one of the most expected features of this game, the online co-op campaign, which promises to be the high point of the multiplayer experience for Fable II, would not make it into the retail release. Back then, the people over at Lionhead said that the mode would be released as a patch about a week after the official release, but now it seems that they have been hard at work and they are saying that, after it gets the certification from Microsoft, the patch will be available as a "Day One" update for the game.

Here's what the developer's blog for Fable II stated: "Remember a couple of days ago (or was it a week) where on a blog it was mentioned that Fable II would be shipping 'without' Online Co-op? And remember we said we were hard at work to get it ready in time for a 'Day One' release? Well - news folks! It looks like we've done it...for all of you who are connected to Xbox Live, when starting up your copy of Fable II (on 21st October in USA, 24th October in Europe and 18th December in Japan). So all of you getting upset and all, you wouldn't even have noticed... Sort of. Well done to the team. Taken into account we don't fail certification!"

This is great news for every potential player of this innovative title. Although the game looks very interesting, this online co-op mode is a real decisive factor for buyers. Now all that is left to do is to wait until the game hits the shelves and then enjoy the all-new gaming experience.
