14 DAY TRIAL // Twi-hards thought / hoped that their idol Robert Pattinson would never get over Kristen Stewart and that they would eventually get back together even though she broke his heart by cheating on him. But he did, with British singer FKA Twigs, whom he’s been dating since August 2014.
Things have gotten serious between them in recent months, with more paparazzi sightings confirming this because they’re no longer hiding. They’re also living together and don’t spend more than a few days apart, with Pattinson taking time off from work to accompany her on tour.
Inseparable but with separate bank accounts
From the outside, it seems like all is well in paradise - and with their romance. However, a pal of the actor reveals for OK! Magazine (story via Radar Online), things aren’t always what they seem: they believe that she is using Robert for his money.
They’re not exactly saying that she’s with him only for the money, but this is a very good reason she’s sticking around. Apparently, Robert pays for everything and always makes sure that they’re living large, even though he isn’t making half as much money as he was when “Twilight” was still being made.
He’s a rich man, no doubt, but friends fear that, if he continues spending with Twigs at this rate, he won’t be that for much longer.
“Robert and FKA twigs are living like A-listers on a C-lister’s salary,” says the insider.
Even before Twigs, Robert was still spending money like he was still a big franchise star, but her coming into the picture didn’t help things one bit, it only made them worse.
“FKA is not a dumb girl and she knows how to work men and has even been called a gold-digger by people who know her. Although they both spoil each other, but she has pennies compared to the kind of money he has,” the tipster continues.
Things can’t possibly be as bad as that
There’s a saying that has it that there’s never smoke with a fire, and this has been proven true time and time again in showbiz. However, not all reports are accurate or true, and there is a good chance this one isn’t.
First of all, Robert Pattinson’s worth is estimated at around $60 million (€52.5 million) to $100 million (€87.5 million). The last “Twilight” movie, “Breaking Dawn Part 2,” came out in 2011 and the Brit is famous for his refusal to buy real estate and actually own a home.
Unless he invested a large chunk of this money, he couldn’t have possibly burned through it all already, so that he’s now in danger of going flat out broke because FKA Twigs doesn’t want to pay for her own stuff and has him do it.
Pattinson is also famous for being a very regular kind of guy: he doesn’t like to be tied down to a home, so he prefers to crash in with his mates or rent a place, he doesn’t spend money on clothes (of which he receives plenty still, from various designers), and he doesn’t have what you could call eccentric tastes, that we know of.
Unless FKA Twigs is a literal money-vampire, he is still pretty well off and has nothing to worry about, even if he continues making only indies that barely cover daily living expenses.
So chances are the only part accurate from this report is that Robert likes to spoil Twigs by buying her all kinds of stuff. Such a sweet, romantic guy.
