Don't know how many of you ever wanted to listen to music while going for a swim, but if this happened don't worry as FINIS is having you covered with the SwiMP3 underwater MP3 2G player.

This is actually the second version of the SwiMP3 to be released by FINIS, and doubles on the capacity of its predecessor as it provide 2GB of storage, hence the 2G at the end of its name.

While the 2GB of storage can't certainly be called impressive in today's world, FINIS is one of the few companies that have managed to make their MP3 players fully water-compatible.

In order to achieve this feat, the company had to came up with a new way of transmitting audio as the old air conduction method isn't able to work underwater as there is no air to transmit the sound.

The answer to this problem was bone conduction, a method that transfers sound vibrations to the inner ear through the swimmer's cheekbone.

The SwiMP3 2G is available right now from various retailers such as Amazon for $159.99 (115 Euros).
