The teams that have managed to qualify for the quarter finals of the real life FIFA 2014 World Cup in Brazil still have a full day to go before their matches are set to kick off, but fans of the FIFA football simulation series will be able to enjoy the FIFA Interactive World Cup 2014 Finals later in the day.

Players can tune to the official stream embedded at the end of this article starting from 4 PM local Rio de Janeiro time, which is 8 PM Greenwich Mean Time, in order to see the best players in the world test their skills and win the trophy with their favorite national team.

The tournament started off featuring 20 of the most capable virtual footballers in the world, and some of them have already been eliminated in the group stage.

August Rosenmeier fron Denmark, Jorrick Boshove and Steven van de Vorst from the Netherlands, and David Bytheway from England will contest the semi-finals, and two of them will then be able to lead their nations to the top of the World Cup podium.

The organizers at EA Sports are promising that the finals will feature a number of not yet announced celebrity guests, including well-known players from real world teams, as well as a new presentation specifically designed for the event.

All those involved will be playing the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil video game from EA Sports, which was launched on the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and the PlayStation 3 from Sony and does not offer the full list of new features that the Ignite engine has delivered on next-gen consoles.

The game features all the national teams in the world and introduces a number of game modes, some of which focus on the performance of just one player and others that take the entire squad into account.

World Cup content is also available on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 versions of FIFA 14, for both the Kick-Off and the Ultimate Team modes.

EA Sports has delivered a number of player packs for the later one, featuring players like Messi, Neymar, Ochoa, and Iniesta.

At the moment, the studio is working on the next version of the FIFA series, which will be launched at the end of September, and has promised that the title will introduce smarter players, more realistic physics and a variety of new features that are designed to immerse gamers in the world of the sport.
