EA Sports has confirmed that both Tournament Mode and Guest Play will make a return to all the platforms, after being cut from the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions.

EA Sports is slowly revealing all the juicy information on the upcoming football video game, and the latest piece of good news, revealed on the company's Twitter account, will most definitely bring joy to many of the game's fans.

After omitting to include Tournament Mode in FIFA 14 on next-gen platforms, the company was flooded by queries from the series' fans, demanding an explanation for the decision.

"Each time we develop a new FIFA game, we spend a lot of time reviewing and evaluating features based on popularity, real world trends, and our development resources," EA explains.

"For the new generation of FIFA 14 on Xbox One and PS4, we decided not to include Tournament Mode, which accounted for a very small percentage of games played in FIFA 13, in order to focus on the most important areas and modes in the game. We took those resources and budget, and focused on many other new areas of the game, including Living Worlds and Stadiums, Career Mode, and expanded Online Seasons," EA says, showing the reasoning behind the decision.

EA has always been bragging about listening to the community, and it seems that it has made the right choice this time, opting to bring back what was a core part of the FIFA experience for many of its fans.

In addition to this, the questionable decision was also accused of carrying some ulterior motive, with players who wanted to enjoy offline tournaments feeling ripped off and forced to partake in online matches via FIFA Ultimate Team, for which they expressed their disdain, comparing it to Pokemon.

At the end of last week, EA Sports also revealed that FIFA 15 was coming to the PC with all the features found on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game, informing fans that the game would be powered by EA Sports' home-brewed Ignite engine, that is also the driving force behind the company's other next-gen sports titles, EA Sports UFC, Madden NFL 15 and NHL 15.

The first trailer for FIFA 15 is expected to be revealed later today, during EA's press conference at E3, taking place in Los Angeles, when the game's release date is also expected to be dropped.

FIFA 15 is coming to the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC platforms sometime later this year, presumably around the end of September, if we are to take into account the series' history.
