Video game developer EA Sports is announcing that it is implementing a new title update for FIFA 15 today, which is set to be offered on all platforms and will introduce an upgrade to the overall game stability, while also dealing with some issues the community has been reporting in the past few months.

The official announcement on the forums explains that there are two versions of the patch and the most important of them is the one coming to the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, with gamers able to see all the changes made by clicking on the button at the end of this article.

The biggest addition is made to the Rest of the World teams, which now include both Orlando City and New York City from the Major League Soccer championship.

EA Sports also introduces stability improvements and other smaller tweaks, while adding a new Compare Price concept to the Ultimate Team mode.

On the PS3 and the Xbox 360, the changes are very similar and the transfer market search is also better.

It's unclear whether the maintenance that is currently running for FIFA 15 is designed to allow for the patch to be introduced and if the big change that has been teased for Ultimate Team is included in the notes or refers to something else entirely.

At the moment, the online functionality is down and gamers will have to wait for about another 2 and a half hours for it to be restored if everything goes according to plan.

The community wanted gameplay changes for FIFA 15

It's nice to see that EA Sports is eager to improve the overall performance of its football sim even this long after it was initially launched, and the addition of new MLS teams will also be cool for some players.

But many members of the community have also been asking for actual changes to gameplay, including tweaks to how pace works and modifications to the mechanics that govern crossing.

Given the current state of FIFA 15, it’s highly unlikely that they will ever be implemented, as more resources are shifted to the creation of the next title in the franchise, which is supposed to be ready for a full reveal at some point in the middle of the year.
