The development team at FIFA 15 might be done with the Team of the Year content, but the weekly reveals presenting the players who have performed best are still going strong and the new set of players for the Ultimate Team mode includes some of the biggest stars of the game of football.

The most important featured player and highest rated is Diego Costa from Chelsea, who has managed to be impressive all through the season.

The three-man attack line also includes Parego and Barrios.

There are four players in midfield ready to support an attack move, with Santi Cazorla from Arsenal the best rated of the bunch. His teammates are: Rakitic, Pogba and Salvio.

Meanwhile, the defense of the Team of the Week is made up of three players: Rekik, Jefferson and Matthews; and the goalkeeper included by EA Sports is Tyton.

A line-up of reserves is also present in the Ultimate Teampack.

FIFA 15’s Ultimate Team is designed for long-term play

Some gamers might be already bored by the Career Mode of FIFA 15, but the Ultimate Team mode is specifically designed to keep fans engaged for a long time, trying to get better players in order to win more matches, which in turn offers access to more interesting team choices.

The fact that packs are constantly released and that some gamers lack a lot of time and choose to use the monetary shortcut also means that Electronic Arts has a long-term revenue stream that’s pretty much guaranteed.

With the Team of the Year festivities out of the way, the next big moment for the community will be the end of the real world transfer window for the biggest championships, which will give EA Sports all the data it needs to deliver an update for the football sim that will reflect all the roster changes.

It’s unclear whether the studio is also planning to deliver some tweaks or updates for the core mechanics of FIFA 15 at the same time.
