The move is designed to improve fairness

The Price Range concept for the Ultimate Team mode of FIFA 15 has been live for more than a week now and the development team at EA Sports is announcing that it has changed the core concepts powering it in order to introduce different limits for the various players depending on the platform on which the gamer is experiencing the title.

The company is offering a full list of changes and differences in a spreadsheet on the official site and fans should take a look at it in order to make sure that they know exactly how much an item they want to buy or sell will cost.

For example, Lionel Messi, the Barcelona star with an overall rating of 98, remains the most prized asset in FIFA 15 Ultimate Team and has a minimum value on the Xbox platform of 9.3 million and a maximum one of 13 million.

The same prices are used on the PC, but on PlayStation home consoles, he is valued at a minimum of 11.7 million and a maximum of 15 million.

The general trend seems to be that the Xbox One, 360 and PC values are the same for each player, while those linked to the PS4 and the PS3 are higher.

EA Sports adds, "Price Adjustments will continue to occur as the market changes and different items are introduced. We will do our best to ensure players are offered at the correct value and to make adjustments as quickly as possible."

Price Range adds fairness to FIFA 15

All gamers who are unsatisfied with the prices for the various items included in the Ultimate Team mode of the football sim can offer feedback to the development team, which will probably be used to tweak the values in the coming weeks.

EA Sports says that the entire new mechanic is designed to improve the fairness of the mode, making it easier for all players who are engaged with it to get access to the stars that might have been too expensive for them when open bids were used.

FIFA 15 has also recently received a new title update, which is designed to improve overall stability, but has not made any changes to the actual gameplay of the sports sim.
