The honors are based on their fantasy team performance

Real world football and its virtual counterpart have become intertwined in a myriad of ways lately, and now the team at EA Sports and the organizers of the Premier League are ready to announce the players who have won Fantasy Half-Time awards for their performance in the first matches of the season.

Alexis Sanchez, the best striker that Arsenal currently poses, is the Highest Points Scorer because he has managed to create 120 points for those who picked him after 19 appearances.

His tally currently sits at 10 goals and 6 assists and has impressed with both his productivity and his work rate.

41 percent of those who are playing Fantasy Premier League have acquired his service, despite the high cost.

Diego Costa from Chelsea is the recipient of the Fan Favorite award, with close to 60% of the players getting his services after he managed to deliver 13 goals so far and create other opportunities for his teammates.

Robert Green from the Queen Parks Ranger might lack name recognition, but he is the player to get the Most Saves Award from EA Sports and the Premier League.

Raheem Sterling from Liverpool has delivered impressive performances for his team and is taking home the Youngster Award, with 86 points accumulated after 19 matches.

Nathaniel Clyne, the right back from Southampton is the player who has seen the biggest increase in his price, moving from 5 to 5.9 million dollars (4.1 to 4.8 million Euro).

The organizers are saying that “Sanchez and Stewart Downing, the West Ham United midfielder (£5.5m-£6.4m), also did so but the Saints full-back shaded the award on the tie-breaker criterion of having managed the highest percentage increase based on his original price.”

FIFA 15 depends on its ties with real world football

The most important mode in FIFA 15 at the moment is Ultimate Team, which is linked to real world matches via the delivery of the Team of the Week package.

At the same time, EA Sports needs to deliver updates for its football sim in order to make sure that the transferred players are moved to their teams and to acknowledge the changes in performance that often happen over the season.

A patch for FIFA 15 is expected to arrive on all platforms in early February of this year.
