The development team at EA Sports working on the all new 2014 Brazil World Cup content that is being launched for the Ultimate Team mode in FIFA 14 says that gamers who will play the free new experience will be able to buy just one type of content pack in the official store.

This basically means that all those who are looking for more players, more tactical choices or more consumables can spend 5,000 in-game coins or 100 FIFA Points to get the single pack, which is similar to the Gold Pack that is available for the regular Ultimate Team mode.

Each of the World Cup themed downloads also includes a classic Gold Pack for the normal mode, which means that gamers are basically getting access to free content.

More details on the exact content of the new game mode and how they will be offered for FIFA 14 can be found on the official site.

At the same time, EA Sports says that all duplicate content obtained from various packs will be eliminated because all items in the World Cup Ultimate Team mode cannot be traded in the official marketplace.

The experience will support neither online single matches nor gamers because the studio wants them to focus on the online and the offline tournament modes, which better replicate the feelings generated by the real-world competition.

The 2014 Brazil World Cup mode is designed to deliver specific content for the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and the PC versions of FIFA 14 and will go live on May 29 at no additional costs.

Those playing on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 can buy the full 2014 FIFA World Cup title, which offers a full simulation of the competition that is starting in June.

EA Sports has made Ultimate Team one of the most important aspects of FIFA as a series during the last few years and the company says that it now constitutes an important long-term revenue stream.

The studio is at the moment focusing all its resources on the development of the next installment in the franchise, which should be launched towards the end of September, probably with enhanced versions of the multiplayer modes.

No clear details about gameplay changes have been offered so far, but E3 2014 is traditionally the first public event during which hands-on time with the football simulation is offered.
