Video game developer EA Sports is at the moment running another maintenance period for the Ultimate Team mode for FIFA 14, which is expected to last until 12 PM Greenwich Mean Time or 4 AM Pacific Daylight Time.

The EA Sports Football Club feature of the title is also down during the same timeframe, and the company is not yet ready to offer any information on the changes that it is making to the game during this time.

The official announcement adds, “During this time, FIFA Ultimate Team, the Web App, the Mobile companion app, and EA SPORTS Football Club will be offline. Online service for all other game modes will be unaffected. Please stay tuned on Twitter for further information, and thanks for your understanding as we work to improve your experience with EA Sports FIFA.”

In the past few days, FIFA 14 was affected by a number of connectivity problems on home consoles, both for normal multiplayer and for the Ultimate Team mode, and the studio is probably at the moment aiming to eliminate their cause to prevent any future issues.

It’s unclear whether the company is planning to deliver any updates to the infrastructure or if the maintenance might be extended past the officially announced deadline.

At the same time, gamers who are playing FIFA 14 can enjoy two new batches of transfers, which are designed to reflect all the moves that are taking place for real world clubs at the moment.

Fans will be happy to play with updated teams, which are designed to make the coming season more realistic.

At the moment, the core of the EA Sports team that is working on football sims is putting the finishing touches on FIFA 15, the next installment in the long-running and very successful series.

The title is set to be launched on the PC, the Xbox One from Microsoft, the PlayStation 4 from Sony and last-gen consoles on September 26 in the United States, and two days later in Europe.

FIFA 15 will introduce an upgraded version of the powerful Ignite engine, which is designed to make all the players who take to the pitch smarter both when it comes to the offensive and the defensive.

The team is also planning to put more of an emphasis on emotion both for superstars, who will show off how their goals or misses affect them, and for the crowds watching the matches.
