The development team at EA Sports announces that it is currently putting together the first Team of the Season package for the Ultimate Team mode for FIFA 14 and it is inviting all interested fans of the game to put forward their suggestions on the official forums of the football sim.

The deadline for this first pack is April 15 and the main thread for those who want to contribute lays out some of the rules, although gamers who are suggesting players should probably read other sections of the FIFA 14 forums.

The Team of the Season requires gamers to name a total of 23 players, with a starting eleven, substitutes and reserves and all the gamers who are nominated should have played well over the entire season, without having ever been announced as in-form in the Ultimate Team mode.

The roster for the team needs to include 6 players from the Premier League and 2 each from France, Germany, Italy and Spain, with the rest of the selection up to the players, who are encouraged to offer a diverse range of choices from a variety of leagues.

The development team at EA Sports adds, “IMPORTANT: All player overall and attribute ratings will be determined by the EA SPORTS FIFA team. We're only asked to provide the list of players and their suggested positions. The FIFA team will evaluate the positions after we're done.”

The official thread is already loaded with submissions from the FIFA 14 fan community and they should offer a very good template for all those who are looking to take part in the nomination process.

EA Sports does not say when it plans to launch the Team of Season package for the Ultimate Team mode.

Until then, the studio will continue to deliver a weekly selection of the in-form players for gamers to update their own line-ups and become more competitive.

At the same time, EA Sports is putting the finishing touches on the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil video game, which will be offered on April 15 in North America and April 17 in Europe on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.

DLC will cover the competition on all other platforms.

A separate team at EA Sports is surely already working on the core innovations that will be included in this year’s edition of the FIFA series, which will be delivered to gamers at some point in late September.
