The development team at EA Sports working on FIFA 14 announces that a day one patch is available for all versions of the game and encourages players to download it as soon as possible in order to get the best possible experience from the football sim.

The company says that it has been taking into account all feedback that fans have offered via Twitter, Facebook and the official forums and will continue to work in order to improve the gameplay of the recently launched title.

The team states in an official announcement that, “The update addresses stability issues found in the closed beta and minor fixes to a couple game mode (Skill Games, Creation Centre) items. Please, if you haven’t done so already, be sure to restart and download the title update in an active session as this will enhance stability when matching up with other players online who have accepted the update.”

Since the demo for FIFA 14 was launched, more than one week ago, gamers have said that the game could see changes to elements of the simulation like the way headers work from crosses and free kicks, the effectiveness of finesse shots and the accuracy of lofted through balls.

EA Sports says that it is evaluating how all these mechanics work and might introduce changes in coming title updates.

The developers add, “we’re aware that some users are experiencing freezes during the game. We continue to investigate these reports internally, and with our partners, and will update the community when we know more.”

FIFA 14 introduces a number of upgrades to the long-running franchise, including an all new Ultimate Team mode that allows for more tweaks to player-created teams.

The Ignite engine will power versions of the game for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
