FIFA 14, the football simulation from EA Sports, continues to be the video game at the top of the United Kingdom sales chart for the week that ended on January 25 and shows no sign that it’s ready to relinquish it any time soon.

The development team continues to deliver updates for the title on all platforms on which it is available, tweaking the gameplay and eliminating bugs reported by the community.

At the same time, EA Sports is constantly offering more content for the Ultimate Team game mode, including a Team of the Year after the Ballon d’Or ceremony, which keeps players interested in the long term.

The United Kingdom chart has been pretty much unchanged for the current week and that means Call of Duty: Ghosts, the first-person shooter from Infinity Ward and Activision is in second place just as the launch date for the Onslaught downloadable content is getting closer to its own release date.

Battlefield 4, the rival that was developed by DICE and published by Electronic Arts, is on the last place of the podium, according to data coming from UKIE, and it seems that it will soon get a boost from the PC launch of the Second Assault DLC.

All the games have seen slight declines in their actual sales and the trend will probably continue until new big titles start launching in March.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, the title published by Warner Bros., is now in fourth place, managing to change positions with Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

The Xbox 360 version of Minecraft, which has managed to show how indie titles can succeed on the Microsoft home console, continues to sit in sixth place, even as it is getting access to more skins via DLC.

Killzone: Shadow Fall is the first title for the next generation of consoles to show up in the UK chart in seventh, followed by GTAV from Rockstar.

Number nine is occupied by the new Need for Speed and Dragon Ball; Battle of the Z lands at number 10 during its debut week.
