FIFA 11, the football simulation from EA Sports, has captured the number one position in the United Kingdom video game chart, managing to displace F1 2010, another sports simulation, this one from Codemasters and focusing on the current Formula 1 Championship.

FIFA 11 is traditionally a best seller and captures the top of the chart when it comes out and this year it will probably hold on to it until the launch of the new Medal of Honor or, maybe, until the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops.

F1 2010 managed to hold on to the second spot in the chart, despite the fact that some players have complained about the way the Artificial Intelligence works in the racing simulation, with the developers promising they would fix all issues.

Dead Rising 2 from Capcom managed to remain in third spot in the United Kingdom charts, showing that the zombie apocalypse is still interesting to gamers.

Halo: Reach, the first person shooter from Bungie and Microsoft, has fallen two places, from two to fourth, while Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock from Red Octane and Activision has climbed up one place from sixth to fifth.

One surprising re entry in the top ten is Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 from EA Sports, which has probably benefited from the Ryder Cup clash between Europe and the United States, taking over sixth place.

Sports Champions from Sony, a companion to the PlayStation Move motion tracking system, has also dropped down to places to reach seventh position in the chart.

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands from Ubisoft is still in the top ten, although sliding one position to eight while Toy Story 3 is in ninth position.

Civilization V from Firaxis and 2K Games is the week's biggest loser, going from fourth to ten.

Mafia II has exited the top ten, going from eight position to eleven.
