The 2006 game sales have provided us with some interesting surprises, but let's take a final look over the last classification for the best-selling games. This might give us a perspective on what games where preferred as a holiday present, and maybe an insight on what the next year will bring.

By the looks of it, FIFA 07 is once again the leader of the game sales classification, as last week it was trailing behind Need For Speed Carbon, who now slipped at number three. Just between these two EA games we find Pro Evolution Soccer 6, the soccer sim from Konami.

Trailing behind NFS Carbon, we stumble upon The Sims 2: Pets, who managed to climb up one place from number 5. It has taken the number 4 spot, ranking which was held last week by Call of Duty 3, Activision shooter which is now at number 5.

WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2007 managed to keep the number six spot one more week, but is closely followed by Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories in at number eight. Vice City has managed a spectacular comeback, as last week this Take 2 title was not even in the top ten, but on the 11th position. Hats off to Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07, securing the ninth position, after last week we saw it fall to the 18th position of the classification.

Closing the top ten, we find Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, the only representative for Lucasarts, which was last week at number nine. Note that this classification is based on UK sales on all platforms available. Maybe if we had talked about Japan or US sales, we would have found titles like Pokemon and Madden NFL 07 in the top five.
