EA dominates the top three

If you were curious to know just what was the gaming trend in the beginning of 2007, you should read carefully the following lines. You probably already know that FIFA 07 closed the year on top, and was the most sought after game during the holiday season.

Things aren't a lot different now, because EA's soccer simulator can be found for the second week running on the first position of the games sales classification but is followed close behind by another EA title, Need for Speed Carbon, after last week this racing game occupied the third position.

EA dominates the top three of this classification, with another of their titles, another simulator, a real-life simulator, The Sims 2: Pets. This title is also climbing, after last week it occupied the fourth position. Konami is trailing behind with Pro Evolution Soccer 6, game that was last week on the second position. They took a serious dive in the classification but as always, they will recover.

The WW2 shooter from Activison, Call of Duty 3 holds its number five position, as it did last week. Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy undergoes a serious climb in the classification, gaining four positions from number ten to number 6. Another important increase in sales was registered by New Super Mario Bros, game that was last week in at number 11, but this week we find it on the seventh place.

Gears of War drops one place, but I'm sure that after this week's release (two new free maps and a patch by Epic) it will leave its current number eight place. The top ten is closed by WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2007 on nine, and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories in at number ten.

This classification covers the UK gaming sales and all the existing platforms.
