14 DAY TRIAL // A cameraman was hospitalized after being injured by one of Mark Webber's loose tires in a race in Germany on Sunday.
The tire was loose since the pitstop stop, Auto Stop writes. The tire came out of the wheel hub just after Webber returned to the race after the stop. A Lotus crew was standing next to him, but no crew member was injured.
British cameraman Paul Allen was first taken to the Nurburgring circuit clinic with bruising and broken bones.
"He was treated at the circuit medical centre and then transported by helicopter to Koblenz Hospital," the FIA says in a statement.
Webber finished the German Grand Prix race in seventh place, but his backer Red Bull was ordered to pay a ($38,500) €30,000 fine for the failed pit stop.
