14 DAY TRIAL // Security solutions provider F-Secure has launched the beta version of Safe Profile, a Facebook app designed to help users protect their privacy on the social media network.
Privacy is a major issue on Facebook these days, and despite the fact that the website allows users to precisely control what they share and whom they share it with, the process is confusing for many internauts.
F-Secure’s Safe Profile “boils down the most important privacy settings,” according to Maria Nordgren, VP of consumer security at F-Secure.
“Security and privacy is at the core of what we do, and with the privacy concerns associated with social networks, we’re excited to be working to provide protection for those users. Our slogan is ‘Protecting the irreplaceable’ – and what is more irreplaceable than your privacy, your reputation?” Nordgren said.
