An explosion made out of a series of smaller blasts has killed one person and injured several others in China.

This is a very rare occurrence in the Communist country, and it was prompted by class inequality and news about economic reforms to be discussed in Beijing on Saturday.

The bombs were placed near Shanxi's Provincial Committee of the Communist Party building in Taiyuan, a headquarters for local officials in the north-central Chinese city.

Officials have stated that at least eight people have been injured, adding that they are dealing with improvised explosive devices.

Social media is supporting whoever has placed the bombs for fighting reforms that are harming the general population.

"It was a targeted attack on the Communist mafia. This should not be considered terrorism. The guy should be considered a national hero," one blogger writes, as relayed by NewsMax.

USA Today adds that the blasts have been heard at 7:40 a.m. on Wednesday. Mostly commuters have been injured, and debris in the form of metal ball-bearings of different sizes have been recovered from the scene.

"The reason for the Shanxi explosions is not clear, but one thing is for sure, it's a result of social conflicts that have constantly accumulated. In the new round of reforms, fairness and justice must be given the first priority," Beijing lawyer Fu Mingde comments.

"Although the people who did the explosions are bitterly hated, some officials in the provincial party commission and government who are rigid in their heads also must reflect on the in-depth reasons behind this tragedy.

"We must immediately carry out many essential and major operations on the political and economical system!" finance writer Hai Kuo adds.

The road where the explosions took place was blocked until 10:30 a.m., but the lanes were reopened afterwards.
