We don’t see tablets designed for TV consumption that often

Here’s something we don’t see that often, a tablet especially designed to facilitate TV consumption. As recent studies seem to point out, tableters are taking up TV streaming on the devices more and more.

So the Explay CinemaTV 3G tablet comes bundled with an analog TV tuner, but sadly it is available only in Russia for now (via Mobile-Review).

Apart from this atypical functionality, the tablet is a pretty straightforward budget offering. It has a 9.7-inch screen with an ordinary resolution of 1024 x 748 pixels and draws power from a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek processor combined with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card).

On top of that, the tablet is also fitted with 3G, Wi-Fi, two cameras, GPS and voice dialing and runs an unspecified version of Android (possibility Android 4.1). The design looks quite cheap, featuring a lot of plasticky accents, but TV lovers might appreciate a tablet capable of streaming their favorite TV shows.

The slate is available for purchase with a $255 / €189 price tag in Russia.
