Orange UK is about to introduce a new budget-friendly handset, the Hollywood. The feature-phone will be exclusively available for purchase via Orange UK on PAYG (pay as you go).

Unfortunately, the carrier has yet to announce the price tag for the Orange Hollywood, but we expect this one to come around 50 GBP (75 USD or 65 EUR) outright.

We’re not sure which company manufactured the Hollywood, but Orange has a long-time partnership with Chinese handset manufacturer ZTE.

Although Orange Hollywood sports a 2.4-inch touchscreen, this is in fact a feature-phone, so customers who are looking for a cheap smartphone should look elsewhere.

The carrier hilariously describes the phone, “roll out the red carpet because the Hollywood from Orange is in town. An Orange exclusive, this feature-packed phone has everything a social networking superstar needs. With one-touch access to popular social networks, you’ll always have Facebook, Twitter and instant messaging at your fingertips.”

People who buy the Orange Hollywood will be able to type faster and more accurate with the full QWERTY portrait keyboard. There’s more to it, as the phone also packs Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing for faster browsing at no costs.

The basic phone offers users the option to easily set-up their email accounts using the included wizard. On the back, the device sports a decent 3.2-megapixel camera, which lacks any additional features, such as autofocus and LED flash.

Other highlights of the phone include: Bluetooth, FM radio, MP3 player, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), Orange Games and Orange Widgets.

The phone’s battery is rated by the manufacturer for up to 5 days of standby time or up to 3.5 hours of talk time. It’s likely that Orange will silently make the Hollywood available for purchase within the next few days. Check it out here.
