MyLiveSearch is one of the search engines that will be released soon and, although its creator says that it is not a new Google rival, he admits that some of the consumers can use it as a stand-alone service. Because the Internet audience is very interested in this new project, I asked Rob Gabriel, the founder and developer of this new search technology, a few questions about the product that will debut on Wednesday, 29th August 2007.

Softpedia: Where did the idea of MyLiveSearch come from?

Rob Gabriel: The idea came to be back in 1995 when I was running my own private internet service and I became frustrated with search results. I knew that the information was out there but search engines back then did not satisfy my expectations and I thought of searching the internet much the same way that I would search for files on my own computer. After many years of hard work and development, I began to think of ways to better search the web deeper and better, so I decided to work on these issues and over time developed tools that now will have a profound impact on how we search and explore the internet.

Softpedia: Is MyLiveSearch a potential competitor for Google, or do you think consumers will use your search technology as an alternative to Google or other search engines?

Rob Gabriel: MyLiveSearch was designed to enhance existing search engines like Google and Yahoo and Microsoft but it can also be used as a standalone tool in its own right. It has the ability to transform how people search the web but at the same time to provide a great new paradigm in search technology. Can it be made compete against leading search engines? My answer to that would be that as a tool should be used by all to enhance current technologies as well as to provide a new and exciting way to explore and search the internet.

Softpedia: MyLiveSearch sustains it is going to change the way users search the Internet. How do you plan to do that?

Rob Gabriel: If internet users understand that this technology has the potential to change our way of searching and that results that are being displayed are as a result of your own computer's actions performing real time crawling. It allows users to have complete control in how they search in real time and not relying on just conventional search engines since once this technology becomes part of their computer it affectively turns there computer into a super spider of un-imaginable possibilities. In most cases, MyLiveSearch can search sites better than they can search themselves. I understand that people do not like change and that change is hard to implement, but MyLiveSearch was designed either to improve your existing search engine results and in most cases save your time by doing all the hard work for you. It makes searching the internet exciting as well as very different to what's currently out there. I encourage people to try this amazing technology and see for themselves what MyLiveSearch can offer them.

Softpedia: What if Google or Yahoo are interested in buying your technology? Are you interested in a 100 percent transaction or only in a partnership?

Rob Gabriel: I would only answer this question with the outmost respect for companies like Google and Yahoo or Microsoft and say that I will look at opportunities as they present themselves, in the meantime I have a job to do and that is my focus on what MyLiveSearch can offer to the internet at this point in time.

Softpedia: How do you see the future of the search engine battle? Do you see any powerful service dethroning Google?

Rob Gabriel: It seems that many articles that I have read, have portrayed my technology as a Google Threat. I see it very differently and believe that since my intentions were never made to provide a technology threat to anyone then my view is that if people like what Mylivesearch can offer and see the obvious huge advantages that it offers, then is up to them how they search the internet and what tools they choose to use. Google is a Super Giant in the world of search and it would be na?ve to think that I have developed a technology to dethrone them; but on the other hand, I know technology is ever changing, and change can bring new ways to solve problems. I believe MyLiveSearch is a tool that is well and truly on its way to solve lots of the current problems that search engines of today face.

If you didn't know, MyLiveSearch will be officially rolled out on Wednesday, August 29th 2007, so if you want to test this new search technology, you should prepare for the big launch.

Rob Gabriel: "MyLiveSearch beta release is due out on Wednesday, the 29th of August, anybody who would like to try this amazing technology is welcome to do so. I appreciate your time today and hope that my hard work will help others to search and explore the internet with this new Real Time Search Engine like never before."
