2K Games and Turtle Rock Studios have confirmed that the Evolve "Big Alpha" test phase is going to kick off this month, on October 31, and those interested can already register for a chance to enter the upcoming trial on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Evolve is one of the most anticipated games of next year, as Turtle Rock and 2K have impressed practically everyone who managed to see the game in action at events like E3 2014 or Gamesom 2014, not to mention others who saw videos and screenshots with the competitive cooperative experience.

The first details about Evolve's Big Alpha are available

The two companies have promised that an alpha test phase is going to kick off soon enough, and now the first actual details have just been shared with fans.

"You’ve been asking, 'When is the Big Alpha?!?' We waited until the time was right because an Alpha this big deserved to be stress-tested in a big way. Well, now we can finally tell you. This Halloween. Evolve’s treat: We’re flipping on the servers and inviting players around the world to join us," the studio says on the official website.

According to the team, the Evolve Big Alpha trial goes live during the Halloween event, more specifically between October 31 and November 2 for PC and PS4 owners, and starting on October 30 for Xbox One users, who have a 24-hour exclusivity offer.

Xbox One owners need to head on over to their special registration website, while PC and PS4 owners will have to go to the regular one.

"That’s right, after the overwhelming responses we’ve gotten from fans – and becoming the first game in history to win 'Best of Show' at both this year’s E3 and Gamescom – we want to give people on every next-gen platform a chance to play," the studio says about the multi-platform test phase.

Bear in mind that PS4 owners need an active PS Plus subscription to enjoy the Evolve alpha, while Xbox One users are required to own an Xbox Live Gold subscription.

Those who pre-ordered at select retailers are guaranteed access

While only some registrants will be invited into the test phase for Evolve, those who pre-ordered the game at select U.S. retailers like GameStop, Amazon, Best Buy, Target, or Walmart are guaranteed access into the alpha.

Don't forget that pre-purchasing the game also nets customers free access to the fourth monster that will be available as DLC after launch, as well as to an alternate skin for the Goliath creature.
