A hardcore game for the most hardcore players

There are many people who prefer to lose a few hours trying to find out the best strategy to attack a bridge in a hexagonal turn based strategy game. There are others who would do nothing but keep their red plumber jumping on the screen, collecting stars and eating mushrooms. The title we're talking about now is only for those hardcore gamers in the first category - it is a true masterpiece and the developers promise it will be a real delight for those who love simulation/strategy releases. Ladies and gentlemen, we're talking about Geo-political Simulator.

The game is developed by Eversim and will be launched in the UK in early September 2008. GPS is presented as a unique and ambitious project which offers a realistic and full simulation of the planet at all levels: economy, politics, military, environment, science, culture, religion. Yes, all these will be implemented as realistically as possible, in just one game.

And that is just a part of what GPS offers. In fact, it is such a complex game that it basically allows you to virtually create a world as you see fit. But it's not an easy job, since no less than 170 countries on the globe have their own interests, the climate is altered, the natural resources are becoming scarce and society is changing. It will be your job to make sure your country evolves in the right direction - you will have to find, by yourself, the scientific, political and social solutions for the world of tomorrow, to test new doctrines or apply already established ones, everything in a spectacular, ever changing world which is full of surprises, just like the real one.

This upcoming title is under permanent development, with Eversim having a team of specialists creating more and more scenarios and expanding the virtual world. But you will not notice that, since you'll be too busy to decide whether you should use armed forces or diplomatic measures to keep your country running, your ministers happy and the population pleased. If you're up for a challenge, which means more than jumping from a platform to another, you should try this game. Hopefully, a demo will come out so that you can test it before buying it; you can also check the official website.
