Evernote has released an update for its Hello application unveiled late last year allowing users to add people they meet by sharing their phone, typing the information themselves, or directly from the address book.

“Remembering people is hard. Evernote Hello makes it easy,” says Evernote. “Whether you're meeting someone for the first time, trying to remember a person's name, or recalling important aspects of a previous encounter, Evernote Hello is here to help […] Say goodbye to business cards and forgetting people with Hello.”

Hello allows you to see the faces of everyone you have met in a mosaic layout and you can view a history of all the encounters you've had with these people.

It helps you remember all aspects of your meetings with them, and you can connect Evernote Hello to your Evernote account and see notes that are related to those people.

When they first pick up on Evernote Hello, users now have three options to bring people in (new in version 1.1): create a quick profile and snap their photo; pull in their information from the address book; allow them to enter their contact information by handing them on the phone.

With that out of the way, Evernote 1.1 brings tons of other nifty enhancements. Those include:

- When entering information yourself, as you type names, Hello instantly searches the address book for matches - Find Hello contacts by names, email, locations, calendar events, and more - Language detection during name entry auto-adjusts for cultural differences - Choose your profile picture from the Camera Roll - Tap on any profile picture to display it in full-screen view - Added Logout option to Setting screen - Improved layout of Setting screen - New Calendar Tiles add month and year breaks to Mosaic screen - Automatic phone number formatting based on language & locale - Contact Links let you jump into Hello from associated address book entries
