Deciding to build upon the success of one of its previously-released products, Evercool took the Transformer 4 cooler and added a pair of extra features that will expand its use and make it more silent.

Enthusiasts might remember the Evercool Transformer 4 as the CPU cooler that won the “COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2010 Design & Innovation Awards.”

This contest was held and judged by professional international jury from the Germany iF design group and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council.

The new Transformer Plus maintains the two so-called main characteristics of the original, namely “bright silver and solid.”

“Transformer 4 was launched by the end of 2009 and caused a silver storm in the competitive CPU cooler market,” says the company.

Needless to say, the outfit stuck to the same looks when it built the aptly named successor.

Still, the PLUS brings two of its own advantages to the table, so as to be even more suited for overclocking tasks while still not suffering from too much noise generation.

These assets are support for Intel 1156 CPUs and fans with the PWM function.

As for what this cooler is constructed as, it has four 8mm copper heatpipes that connect directly to the chip itself.

Another thing is that, to complement the PWM fans, the fins enhance the convection for the CPU and other components, essentially driving sound generation even lower than before.

“Transformer 4 PLUS provides not only an amazing overclocking experience, but also an outstanding cooling effect. It is definitely the best C/P value and first cooling choice for computer users,” states the official announcement.

The one or two 120mm fans have a rotary speed of 800 to 2200 ±15% RPM and produce 17 dBA of noise.

Unfortunately, while the Transformer 4 PLUS can assist any Intel LGA 1156 1366/ 775 or AMD AM3/ AM2+/ AM2/ K8 CPU, it has not yet been priced.
