Last week, Khloe Kardashian got a lot of attention in the media when her people cut an interview short because she’d been asked about her niece North West, Kim Kardashian’s daughter with Kanye West. Eva Longoria believes she has no right to play coy about her personal life like that.

The interview in question is embedded below. Khloe said that the Australian show was fishing for a story by claiming that the chat was interrupted at her or at her people’s request, insisting a technical issue was to blame.

Still, you can see her looking at someone who’s clearly giving her instructions, after the Nori question.

Talking to the radio station Confidential on Nova the other day, Eva said that it’s unnatural for a reality star to act like this: when you make a living off of selling your life, you have no right to refuse to answer certain questions, as long as they’re in certain limits.

“There’s definitely things that are off-limits and shouldn’t be asked [but] I think it is different for a reality star than it is for an actor. An actor goes out and acts and does work, certain things are left to be private,” Longoria said.

“Reality stars are kind of living out their lives, that’s why they are famous, because of the reality of their lives,” she added.

The producers of the morning show on which the Khloe interview took place argued the case even better: since Khloe had agreed to do the interview to promote a new fashion line for kids, was it not logical for her to have to take questions about the inspiration for it, especially since she’d said before that Mason and Nori were the “muses”?

Moreover, as you can see for yourself, the question was not offensive or too intrusive in any way, as the interviewers simply wanted to know how Khloe felt about her niece.

Eva too makes a good point, especially where the Kardashians are concerned. This is a family that can turn into gold any event from their lives, whether we’re talking about a funeral, a wedding, a divorce, getting plastic surgery, going out shopping, or getting a full Brazilian wax.

At this point, after so many years in front of the camera, people have come to expect to hear everything from them and not to have them turn down questions, especially when they’re as harmless as the one Khloe’s people got so upset about.
