Eva Green is French, so this probably explains why she doesn’t understand why the MPAA and the network ABC banned her Ava Lord poster for “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For” because they considered it showed too much of her breasts to be safe for younger audiences.

A “clean” version of it is now being used, and you will also find it available in the gallery. The banned version included a much larger breast and a much more see-through bathrobe, but even so, you still couldn’t see everything there was to see.

This is why the ban is so confusing for Eva, as she admits on Jimmy Kimmel, where she stopped by for a chat the other day. Video is available below.

More importantly, as she puts it, “[breasts] never killed anyone,” unless, of course, you use them to purposely suffocate someone. Kimmel too is amused that, while people in the US were so quick to criticize the poster for apparently being so revealing, no one took issue with the gun in Ava Lord’s hand and how that could mean glorification of or instigation to violence.

Other than that, Eva tells Kimmel that, personally, she’s ok with showing off plenty of skin in front of the camera, which I’m sure her fans already know. She expected to wear a corset or something for the role of Ava Lord in “Sin City 2,” but she still agreed to do the part after co-director Robert Rodriguez assured her no revealing scene would be done gratuitously.

“Sin City 2” also stars Jessica Alba, Josh Brolin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Mickey Rourke, Rosario Dawson, Bruce Willis, and Lady Gaga and will be out on August 22.
