Sometimes it's much better to get your games a bit later

It rarely happens that a game is released in the US and Europe at the same time and these kinds of delays are most likely to create some controversy - we will most likely debate this topic sometime, in our new Weekend Reading category, but until then we must face the facts. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, that racing game that drove everybody crazy (in a good way, of course) is going to be released in Europe soon and it will have some additional features no other region will.

So, let's get straight to the point and let Europeans enjoy and everybody else watch in awe. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue for Europe will include a brand new Drift Mode where the player's drifting techniques will be measured based on drift angles, racing lines, and speeds - all within evaluation zones located at various turns on the course. Also, a very advanced car tuning system will be available and that includes possible adjustments to be made to the vehicle's performance, including power, tyres, suspension and the ability for quick tuning whilst racing.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue comes with a really entertaining multiplayer mode where 16 players can compete online. But, if such a thing is possible and you would ever have trouble finding some online opponents, there's no need to worry if you have the European version: a two player split screen racing mode is available and, even though this sounds really "old school" already, it will be just as fun as it was back in the old days. Still, if you decide to stick to the online races, you'll get a new set of race events - scheduled ones and racing trials.

This dream-like version of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will be released on the 26th of March at retail stores, followed by a PSN release on the 27th. The game has a recommended price of ?24.99 (around $50) and, if you are really excited because of the new features, a GT5 PS3 bundle will be available and it will include a 40GB PS3, a Sixaxis wireless controller and, of course, the game itself - everything for a RP of ?299.99 ($600). Maybe a Dual Shock controller would've sounded better...
