In the wake of NVIDIA’s big announcement regarding its newest Maxwell-based GeForce GTX 970M and 980M GPU architecture, Eurocom is taking the opportunity to make an announcement of its own.

The gaming solution specialist has announced it will be offering a choice between the two graphic processors with their X3, X5, X7, X8 high performance, fully upgradable laptops.

Both new GPUs are based on NVIDIA’s Maxwell 28 nanometer architecture. The 980M model arrives equipped with 1536 processor cores, 1038 MHz clock speed and support for up to 4GB of GDDR5 and 265-bit graphics memory.

On the other hand, the 970M version takes advantage of 1280-core, 924 MHz clock speed and up to 3GB of GDDR5 and 192-bit memory.

Eurocom says customers can combine the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M in single and SLI with up to 32GB DDR3-1600 memory, while adding an Intel Core i7 Extreme Processor plus different storage capacity solutions.

The new GPUs focus on bringing improved performance, longer battery life via the Battery Boost software, as well as the ability to play longer while the power chord is not plugged.

Eurocom doesn’t mention a starting price for its new line of customizable notebooks but expect it to be quite high.
