Eurocom says this is the most powerful notebook in existence

Eurocom is a well-known provider of powerful mobile gaming solutions and working stations, which are also upgradable systems.

Now, the company has announced it is shipping out the Panther 5, which it names the world’s most powerful notebook. Ever.

The statement seems to be blown a little out of proportion, but we won’t deny the notebook is packing la crème de la crème, if we're talking hardware.

Eurocom is marketing the Panther 5 as a super computer. In this respect, it has equipped the unit with the latest standards in terms of GPU, the high-end NVIDIA GeForce GTX 880M in single and SLI (Dual) configuration.

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 880 graphics card has 1536 CUDA cores running at 954 MHz + boost, with 8GB GGDR5 memory running at 2500 MHz. Used in SLI, the two 880M graphics card can improve performance to an amazing 16GB DDR5 video memory and 3072 CUDA cores.

This is NVIDIA’s most advanced GPU, which also brings about some additional benefits, in the form of Battery Boost tech, which helps maintain optimal battery levels plus the gaming-centric ShadowPlay and GameStream. The 880M card is also equipped with GPU Boost 2.0 which provides over clocking enthusiasts with some fun.

The Eurocom Panther 5 has been designed to cater to the needs of enterprise professionals working in creative fields or manipulating sensitive information and such, for which high-security standards are essential.

Hence, the laptop also comes with an Integrated Fingerprint Reader for secure data access and easy management of passwords.

The Panther 5 offers a 17.3-inch FHD display (1920 x 1080 pixel resolution) with wide viewing angle and LED backlit, available in glossy or matte options.

As far as processors go, Eurocom is throwing in a bunch of options, including Intel Core i7-4960X, i7-4930K, 4820K, which are part of the 4th generation of chips and are built upon 22nm architecture, capable of running up to 4GHz.

But that’s not all, Eurocom also makes available the optional 6, 8 and 12 core Intel Xeon E5 2600 V2 Processors, based on LGA 2011 processor socket.

The most advanced from the family, the Intel Xeon E5-2697 v2, comes with 12 cores, 24 threads, 30MB of L4 cache, running at 2.7GHz, and offers support for Intel vPro Technology, Intel Virtualization Technology, Intel Hyper-Threading Technology and Intel Virtualization for I/O.

Don’t expect the Eurocom laptop to come cheap, a configuration with Intel core i7-4930K and NVIDIA’s latest 880M graphics card will take you back with at least $3,000 / €2,219.
