Eurocom has long been a maker of various laptops and has been especially mindful of its mobile workstations' capabilities, which is why it has not wasted any time in exploiting Seagate's HDD expertise and boosting some of its laptops' storage capacities to 3TB.

Eurocom outfitted three of its mobile powerhouses with 3TB of storage space, or at least offers the possibility of adding such a capacity to them.

The three laptops are known as D900F Panther, X8100 Leopard and X7200 Panther 2.0, all of which can be seen in detail on their maker's official website.

Like all mobile workstations, they can be configured extensively, with hardware options including the latest processing, graphics and memory capabilities available on the market.

As general examples, one can select Intel Core i7 or Core i7 Extreme CPUs and DirectX 11-capable high-end video cards (Radeon HD 5870 and GTX 480 for instance).

High amounts of RAM (up to 16GB of DDR3 on the leopard for instance) can also make it into the final products, along with the full range of connectivity and I/O options.

Possible specifications include Dolby Home Theater 5.1 audio, eSATA, HDMI, DVI, DVD or Blu-ray, 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi and optional Bluetooth.

Needless to say, the products also boast large LED-backlit screens (X8100 Leopard measures 18.4 inches) and Full HD support.

As for the new storage limit, it is achieved thanks to the existence of 750 GB Seagate Momentus hard disk drives, which can even be configured in RAID 5 should one require better speeds.

Basically, these machines should handle most any workstation-class applications that rely on massive storage and computing power, such as virtualization and cloud computing, among other things.

Eurocom's D900F Panther, X8100 Leopard and X7200 Panther 2.0 all sell for several thousands of dollars each, as is fitting for world-class mobile powerhouses that exceed the capabilities of a great many high-end desktops.
