Eurocom has just announced that it has added two new laptop models to its product portfolio, the Fennek and Cougar 2.0, both featuring Intel's latest Huron River HM67 chipset platform that is fully compatible with the recently released Sandy Bridge processor line.

Both models are fully configurable and allow customers to opt from a wide range of hardware, including Intel's second generation Core architecture CPUs and top of the line Nvidia and AMD graphics cards such as the Radeon Mobility HD 6970 GPU.

In addition, users can pair the systems with as much as 32GB of DDR3 memory, as the new HM67 chipset comes with four RAM sockets.

Moving to the storage department, the larger 17.3-inches Fennek notebook can be configured with up to 3 physical drives (SSD, hybrid or mechanical) while the 15.6-inch accepts “only” 2 drives.

Both models, however, feature Full HD 1920x1080 displays, two USB 3.0 ports, DVI-I, Firewire 400 and HDMI output, to name just a few of their connectivity options.

“The Eurocom Cougar 2.0 is the perfect little package that is capable of much more than its size suggests.

With powerful Intel Core i7 Extreme processors, MXM 3.0 graphics technology supporting AMD Radeon Mobility technology, this platform is very capable of matching up against the best in the gaming industry" said Mark Bialic, president and CTO of Eurocom Corporation.

Eurocom is a Canadian computer maker that specializes in building desktop replacements and mobile workstations, the company delivering some of the most powerful mobile computing solutions available on the market.

As a testament to its quality engineering, Eurocom recently announced that one of their machines, the Panther 2.0, became the world's fastest notebook in 3DMark 2006, a graphics benchmarking application.

When this article was written, none of the two models were listed on Eurocom's website.
