An escape artist has taken the getting out from a locked coffin stunt a bit too far. To be more precise, he took it 14,000 feet (4,200 meters) from the ground.

Anthony Martin of Wisconsin jumped out of a plane while being locked inside the coffin and he survived. News Australia reported that he had a safe landing.

Martin had the grueling task of trying to free himself and pull himself out of the coffin in mid-air. He was watched by a crowd as he struggled to get out of the wooden box.

He managed to do so and land in a field near Serena, Illinois, roughly 70 miles (112 km) from Chicago. This is not the first time that Martin performs this stunt. He first tried it out 25 years ago.
