A man from Wisconsin has been arrested for killing his girlfriend and hiding her body from authorities.

The remains of 30-year-old Erin Ziemendorf of West Allis, Wisconsin at a Chicago Greyhound bus station on Sunday night.

Police found the body after complaints of it being stationed in the same spot for days, Daily Mail reported.

40-year-old Matthew McDowell turned himself in on Monday. He is a massage therapist working out of Kenosha.

“My clients tell me that my massages have lasting, restorative effects.

“I pride myself on being able to read the body and to sense blocked energy, and help release your body’s natural healing abilities,” he describes himself on the website of his employer.

He claims that the death has been an accident, and that he unintentionally snapped the woman's neck during an argument.

He has been charged with first degree intentional homicide and one count of hiding a corpse. A forensic examination confirms that the woman has died from a blunt force trauma to the neck.

Fox 6 gives details about the information the suspect has given police – he claims to have been shoved in a corner and to have had his rib cage grabbed by his girlfriend of over a year.

He also mentions being attacked with a corkscrew and having Ziemendorf press her thumbs against his eyes.

Ziemendorf's neck allegedly broke when he pressed himself on top of her, crushing her neck with his weight.

“I met him a handful of times, I talked to him on the phone a couple times, and he seemed like a pretty nice guy,” Ziemendorf's ex-husband, Kevin Masullo, describes the suspect.

He adds that the pair have a child who is not aware of his mom's death.

“I haven't broken the news to him yet, and that's going to be very tough. [...] She was a very caring, loving person. She was a good mom,” he adds.
