Android 4.4 KitKat, the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system, arrives with a nice range of graphical changes packed inside, and it seems that owners of devices running under Android 4.0 and newer OS flavors can also enjoy some of these now.

Epic Launcher, a new application for the mobile platform, currently available for download in the third beta release, makes that possible.

As the application’s description reads, this is a KitKat launcher for Android 4.0+ devices, providing them with a host of customization features.

The software is based on the AOSP 4.4 launcher 3, and should prove a great home replacement for all those looking to personalize their devices with KitKat looks.

Some of the main features of the application include the option to change icon size and icon text size, a customizable desktop grid and drawer grid, along with infinite scrolling on desktop, drawer and dock.

Furthermore, the mobile application comes with elastic scrolling on desktop, drawer and dock, the option to hide apps in drawer, to change the number of dock icons, and to enjoy a scrollable dock, up to 5 dock pages.

Other features of the software include dock icon scale, screen orientation, the possibility to set default screen for desktop, Show/Hide persistent search bar, Show/Hide icon labels, Enable/Disable wallpaper scrolling, and to enjoy more than 16 icons in folder.

The latest version of the application brought along the option to Show/Hide shadow on desktop, along with Drawer background transparency, and a fix for a drawer button haptic feedback bug.

Epic Launcher’s developers also note that some more features are planned for inclusion in the application in the not too distant future, which means that more customization options might be included in it.

You can find Epic Launcher for Android on Softpedia today. The application is compatible with devices running under Android 4.0.3 and up.
