The critically-acclaimed Infinity Blade III is on sale for $2.99 / €2.59 (down from $6.99 / €5.99) but the offer won’t be available for much longer. Chair Entertainment Group has announced on Twitter that the sale ends today.

“Last chance to get Infinity Blade 3 for HALF OFF! Sale ends today,” reads a timely tweet from the studio spawned by Epic Games, creators of Gears of War.

You might not know this from the screenshots, but Infinity Blade really does look as amazing as Chair is presenting it. In fact, it may look even better in reality.

“Created by ChAIR Entertainment, the original iOS blockbuster returns with adrenaline-fueled sword-fighting action, gorgeous visuals, and a thrilling story of love, betrayal, and redemption,” says the studio.

Conveying the plot, ChAIR continues, “Siris and Isa have joined with the God-King Raidriar in a desperate attempt to destroy the Worker of Secrets and his army of Deathless titans. Uncover new mysteries to wield the power of the Infinity Blade in this timeless adventure of champions and villains.”

A fighting game at its core, Infinity Blade III is actually defined as an action role-playing game intended as the final chapter in the trilogy. Key gameplay elements include attacks, dodging, blocks, and casting spells, all through Multi-Touch.

As the game progresses, so does the storyline, and the player finds himself/herself searching for treasures, swords, shields, armor, and other collectable items and rewards.

Responsible for the game’s impressive visuals is the Unreal Engine technology from Epic Games. The title also features cloud saves and HDMI output, so you can put the action on the big screen as well.

Supported devices include iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5S, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Mini, and iPod touch fifth-generation.

Epic strongly recommends that users update to iOS 7 before purchasing or updating Infinity Blade III, and parents are told they can turn off in-app purchases in the iOS settings. To download Infinity Blade III, you’ll need over 3.5 GB of free space. The game is actually 1.82 GB, but the way iOS installs apps requires to have double the amount.

Supported languages include English, Chinese, Czech, Dutch, French, German, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish, and Thai.

Technically, the game is said to support iOS 6 as well, but that doesn’t mean you should risk spending $2.99 / €2.59 (or worse, $6.99 / €5.99 if the offer expires) trying to download Infinity Blade III on a 3GS.
