Bathroom TVs are probably targeted at a brand new category of people: the bath tub potatoes. Since it's waterproof, slothful people have no reason to choose the "living room TV" anymore. Why stay on the couch when you can take a shower and also watch the news at the same time? Right.

Envirovision 19" Freeview Waterproof Bathroom TV is not a premiere when it comes to bathroom TVs. Steelcube's 17" and 23" screens, based on LG-Philip's TFT tech, are probably among the first "bathroom HDTV" to hit the market.

The 19" Freeview comes in two versions: the 19" IA has integral waterproof speakers while the 19" EA comes with separated waterproof ceiling mounted speakers. All the 19" TV sets come with a Freeway DVB tuner (up to 60 digital TV and radio stations). Other features include widescreen viewing area, inputs for other devices (water-friendly devices that is), top-up tv integration, a conventional analogue multi region tuner with teletext and interactive text.

They both come in a range of high quality finishes including mirror polished stainless steel, brush polished stainless steel, black, gold or mirror screened. All the screens come with the compulsory waterproof remote control.

The 19" model is also suitable for pool rooms, spa rooms, massage rooms and even for, well, and living rooms (but there's no fun there, eh?). Oh, and just in case you want to leave the bathroom in order to grab a snack, they're also selling a "budget line" for kitchens. Prices start at about 2000 $.
