14 DAY TRIAL // Developer Amplitude Studios has released the Eye on the Stars update for their great turn-based strategy title Endless Legend, adding a ton of stuff, including a brand new victory condition.
The fantasy 4X game, where 4X stands for explore, expand, exploit and exterminate, is a very fresh take on the genre, adding a lot of personal touches, in addition to the satisfying strategic gameplay everyone expects from such a video game.
The game has a handful of very different races to choose from, all fighting among each other, on the verge of a cataclysmic, planet-wide event.
From insect people who feed on the enemy's dead to roving bands of merchants who can uproot and move their settlements across the map, the game has a ton of lore and an interesting array of engaging mechanics, revolving around the procurement and judicious use of the classic resources from Endless Space, food, industry, dust and science.

Some welcome additions
Eye on the Stars features a new Victory Quest, giving players the chance to leave Auriga, the planet the entire action takes place on. The final quest unlocks after faction specific quests are done, enabling the player to repair an ancient spaceship and head to the stars.
In addition to this, there are now three map generation presets, enabling users to further customize their game experience, and a new, community-chosen minor faction.
Furthermore, players now have the option to ask a faction to declare war on another one through the new "Ask to declare war" diplomatic option, and there are three new community-designed Steam Achievements available.
The community played a pretty big role in the shaping of Endless Legend, and Amplitude Studio continued to pay attention to the needs and wants of their fans, adding some new requested keyboard shortcuts, and enhancing the scope of the modding tools.
