Originally scheduled to take place today, September 17, space shuttle Endeavour's trip to California was delayed by 24 hours, on account of bad weather. NASA has released a statement saying that the flight will take place on Tuesday.

Endeavour is scheduled to reach the California Science Center (CSC), in Los Angeles. It will be delivered to the City of Angels by the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft (SCA), a heavily-modified Boeing 747.

The shuttle is currently located at the NASA Kennedy Space Center (KSC), in Florida. Tomorrow, the SCA will take off from the Shuttle Landing Facility, and fly over the Visitor Complex, the nearby Cape Canaveral Air Force Station and the Patrick Air Force Base.

All of these installations were a critical part of the 30-year-long Space Shuttle Program, which was ended in mid-2011.
