Andrei Dumitrescu: Even if I tend to play video games that are somewhat removed from the mainstream I know that it’s autumn because I barely have time to enjoy the games that I love and need to make tough decisions about which one to abandon.

This weekend most of my time will be linked to the Beta of Football Manager 2013, the management simulation that Sports Interactive creates every year.

Critics might say that the game lacks innovation, but a lot of concepts and mechanics are changed for this year’s installment and the simulation of the actual matches is the closest to the real-world sport that the series has ever gotten.

There are also more options and more depth when it comes to the day-to-day running of the club and I must report that my usual starting career with Liverpool is progressing well.

The rest of my time will be spent with Fallen Enchantress, the strategy effort from Stardock that is supposed to offer compensation for the failures of Elemental: War of Magic.

Andrei Dobra: This weekend I’m going to enjoy playing through my review copy of Assassin’s Creed 3, the long-awaited action game from Ubisoft. I’m a pretty big fan of the series and even enjoyed the different short films released for it, so I’m more than eager to see what adventure Connor and Desmond embark on.

When I am not murdering my way through the American Revolution, I’m once again going back to the planet of Pandora on Borderlands 2, in order to complete my second playthrough on the True Vault Hunter mode.

While going back through the game does feel a bit tedious, as I have already experienced it with the Mechromancer besides my main Commando character, the enemies are much more powerful, so it’s quite a challenge.

Last but not least, I’ll jump back into Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer mode, just to complete the special Operation Valkyrie challenge and to continue leveling up my recently-promoted Sentinel class.
