Without a doubt, just about everyone who accesses the Internet these days is involved, to some degree, in social networking, whether they're sharing a photo on Facebook, tweeting their latest “adventure”, adding their location on Foursquare, etc., and a company called Lavatelli has decided to make things easier for everyone by creating an USB accessory that will enable users to type-in emoticons without actually using a combo of keys in order to do so.

And that's because, as you can see from the photo, this thing will enable users to insert emoticons into their tweets, status updates or IM conversations in a very fast and easy manner, by simply pressing the appropriate button.

As Dvice informs us, the emoticon keypad by Lavatelli is just a design concept, for the time being, but it's viable enough to actually be turned into a real product, since the technology required in order to make it work has been around for quite a few years now.

Moreover, in order to make things even more interesting for the users (those bold enough to actually spend some cash on such an accessory, that is), each of the 16 available emoticons button can be customized with different glow options, helping them associate a certain color to each of the moods represented by the emoticons.

Unfortunately, for the time being, there's no info on whether this USB accessory will ever make it to the market and, should that be the case, but we're pretty sure that we will see this thing arrive in stores, sooner or later.

And at the current rate of growth of social networking, not to mention the fact the people tend to get lazier and lazier with every generation, we wouldn't really be that surprised if such emoticon keypads would actually become, at some point on the future, standard components on most keyboards (if we'll still be using physical keyboards by then).
