14 DAY TRIAL // Sofia Vergara might be a vision of elegance and propriety on the red carpet, but once that’s done with, she likes to have fun. The “Modern Family” actress completely let loose at an Emmy 2014 afterparty, and bust out of her dress in the process.
Because of the type of cut she prefers on her ball gowns (siren, very tight and with generous cleavage), Sofia knows that she’s prone to all kinds of mishaps and wardrobe malfunctions if she so much as make a move.
She made several of those the other night, when she accepted an invitation to dance from Derek Hough, a professional dancer best known for his work on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars. “Footloose” was playing, Us Weekly reports.
Things got really wild in almost no time, which usually tends to happen whenever Derek is on the dancefloor, as fans of the televised dancing competition must know already.
“The two were spinning around the dance floor and she was flying through the air,” an eyewitness recalls for the celebrity publication. The next minute, Sofia had spilled out of her dress, and as Derek kept spinning her, she tried to cover herself up with a hand, laughing hysterically.
The magazine has photos to confirm the story.
“It was a full five minutes of him spinning her around the dance floor,” the same eyewitness says, adding that Derek and Sofia kept dancing through “Hit the Road Jack” as well, which followed after “Footloose.”
“No one could quite believe what they were seeing, nor were they able to take their eyes off of it,” the spy continues.
We bet Sofia’s boyfriend, Joe Manganiello, is now very sorry he didn’t accompany her to the Emmys and the bash. On the red carpet earlier in the evening, reporters asked the actress how come she hadn’t brought her new man with her, and she responded that he was “too big” and “too hot” to have him seated next to her.
Instead, Sofia brought her son Manolo as her date, but it’s not certain if he accompanied her to the afterparty as well.
Usually, the actress posts photos of such incidents on her social media feeds – remember that time at the Emmys, in 2012, when her dress ripped completely, exposing her backside, also at a party? – but this time seems to be the exception. She did post though several shots from inside the party, and she seemed to be having a lot of fun.
