14 DAY TRIAL // Since early this year, comedienne Sarah Silverman has been dating actor Michael Sheen, but she attended the Emmys 2014 last night, held live at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, on her own. And probably a bit high, too.
E! was on red carpet duty before the show as per usual, and at one point, Fashion Police host Giuliana Rancic was asking celebrity attendees to show the contents of their purse / clutch to the camera. That’s probably the next step after the nail cam and shoe cam and all the other cams used on red carpets these days.
Silverman didn’t hesitate, and as you can see in the Instagram video below, she even owned up to her pot vaporizer pen, which she had stashed in her small clutch, right there next to her phone and all those other things women tend to carry around on such occasions.
The vaporizer pen with marijuana is legal in California with a valid medical prescription.
After the show, where Silverman won an Emmy in the Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special category with “We Are Miracles,” in the press room, someone asked her if she’d sat through the show high and she got quite defensive about it.
“It's legal... I like to have a puff as a treat, at appropriate times,” she said laughing, adding that she wasn’t high but that she’d brought the vaporizer along with her for later use.
Considering how negative some of the reviews of the show were, probably no one would blame Sarah is she puffed on it a bit during commercial breaks.
