After Nick announces the fact that his wife Amy has gone missing the police investigation, and the public pressure Nick's version of the story that his marriage was blissful begins to crumble. It's not long until Nick becomes the main suspect in everyone's eyes, as even his lawyer begins to question his innocence.
The film is an adaptation of Gillian Flynn's best-selling novel and it's directed by David Fincher. It is set to open at the New York Film Festival on September 26, and then it's set to be released in theaters beginning October 3.
