Earlier this month, Anonymous obtained confirmation that Emma Watson was, at one point, attached to the “Fifty Shades of Grey” film project, which instantly generated countless reports about how she’d actually been cast.

She won’t play Anastasia Steele, Gossip Cop writes.

This is not the first time that Watson is linked to the film but, just like the first gazillion times, there’s no truth to this rumor either.

“Sources close to the situation tell us that while Watson may be on a studio wish list, she is still not attached to the movie at this time,” Gossip Cop says.

Moreover, even E.L. James, who wrote the trilogy on which the film(s) will be based, is insisting that no actors have been cast yet, let alone a huge name like Emma.

“No casting decisions have been made yet,” James says. She’s spoken before of casting for the flick, saying she’ll probably pick two leads no one would think of.
