Hollywood sweethearts Emily Blunt and John Krasinski recently purchased an environmentally-friendly mansion in Ojai, California.

Apparently, their new residence used to be a hotel back at the beginning of the 20th century. In fact, it was the first hotel ever built in Ojai, and helped up tourism in that region.

Regardless of whether the history of the place influenced or not the selling price, the fact remains that Emily Blunt and John Krasinki spent as much as $2 million (€1.55 million) on their new love nest.

Rumor has it that the two decided to purchase this property on account of the latter's being eco-friendly.

Thus, their new mansion gets most of its energy from the sun. More precisely, giant solar panels see to it that this couple enjoy the perks of modern life without negatively impacting on the environment.

Of course, one could go as far as to argue that the fact that this mansion is surrounded by 5 acres of mountains and hiking areas need also be linked to environmental protection.

This is because green-oriented behavior is not just about cutting down on one's ecological footprint, but also about bonding with Mother Nature.

Moreover, one must pay special attention to their diet, which is why we can only assume that the fact that Emily Blunt and John Krasinski find themselves within walking distance from an organic farmers market is something the couple is highly enthusiastic about.

Lastly, one cannot lead a green-oriented lifestyle if one does not learn to relax or has trouble sleeping, so the four bedrooms this mansion has, together with the pool and the spa, can only come in handy.

Giggles aside, it is indeed noteworthy that ever more celebrities are going through the trouble of making sure their daily routine impacts as little as possible on the environment, and that some of the homes they purchase can teach others a thing or two about sustainable development.
