1C Company and Paradox Interactive are announcing that they plan to release no less than three expansion packs for their strategy title Elven Legacy in the coming three months. Each of the coming packages will be digitally distributed and will include new missions for gamers to test their skills and new armies to play around with. The developers are saying that the packs will be available through all the major digital distribution services and each of them will retail for the price of 9.99 dollars.

The first expansion to come will be called Ranger and it will be released on October 20, adding 16 new campaign missions, two new heroes with varied skill sets, new artifacts that can boost their powers and new spells to unleash on unsuspecting foes.

The second expansion will arrive on November 17 and will offer 19 fresh missions, an undisclosed number of unlockable adventures, three new heroes and two different armies. It will be called Siege. The final pack, named Magic, is set to arrive just two weeks later, on December 1, and it will be offering players 15 new campaign missions and a bonus one, a new hero complete with new spells and new magical artifacts. Some of the older heroes of Elven Legacy will also be making a return in Magic.

The plan for the launches is pretty ambitious and will please fans of Elven Legacy. The game is a pretty standard, high fantasy and has been noted for the complex design of the missions. With the title run in turn-based modes, there are several instances when the dividing line between defeat and victory is of only one move. It offers an enjoyable experience for those gamers who tolerate the slower pace of turn-based gaming and enjoy managing limited resources. The three announced expansions will likely keep the main concepts of Elven Legacy and only modify the options available to the player.
